My work in graphite, acrylic, pastel, and colored pencil is where immediacy meets intention-each tool chosen intuitively, depending on the emotion I am channeling or the story trying to come through. Each medium has its own spirit, and I love the alchemy of shifting between them. Sometimes they stand alone; sometimes they meet on the same page. It’s all part of the same intention: to bring the unseen to light, to give form to feeling, and to turn the internal landscape into something that can be touched.

"Life Doesn't Scare Me" (Charcoal & Pastel Portrait of Jean-Michel Basquiat) 9" x 12" This piece is a tribute to one of my greatest artistic role models-Jean-Michel Basquiat. Rendered in charcoal and pastel, his figure emerges boldly against a background echoing his iconic motifs. Basquiat walked a similar path as a self-taught artist. He turned pain into power, chaos into connection, and street walls into altars. He refused to be boxed in, and his courage to honor his gift, no matter what, has lit my path as I carve my own. This portrait isn't just to celebrate his legacy-it's a promise. That I will not let his spirit be forgotten. That I will keep creating, keep believing, and keep remembering that art is how we survive, how we speak, and how we live when no one else understands us. Original Available: $111
